This strategic move will allow us to expand our reach, leverage our combined expertise and deliver enhanced quality and value of service to our clients.
Meet Our Team

Mark Day
LICENSED LAND SURVEYOR, VT, NY, NH
Mark Day began Day Land Surveying after working in the profession since 1990. In addition to gaining experience and expertise working for various surveying & engineering firms, Mark has worked in the public sector as a Right of Way Coordinator for a local utility and has operated a successful surveying & design firm as a partner. Mark is a proud member of the Vermont Society of Land Surveyors where he serves on the Executive Commitee (President from 2018-2021). Other professional memberships include the New York State Association of Professional Surveyors (NYSAPLS) and the National Society Professional Surveyors. Day Land Surveyors provides services to land/property owners, developers, attorneys, municipalities, utility companies, realtors, contractors, engineers and architects.

Harvey Chaffee
LICENSED LAND SURVEYOR
Harvey Chaffee is the newest member of our team, after Day Land Surveying acquired H.W. Chaffee Land Surveying in December 2024. Harvey has been a fully licensed land surveyor and business owner since 1983. He provides boundary, topographical, and subdivision surveys using state-of-the-art equipment and highly accurate results for property owners. Based in Montgomery Center, he provides services throughout the state for residential, commercial, federal and municipal properties — for properties under one acre to over 1,000 acres.

Brad Perry
SURVEY PROJECT MANAGER
Brad is a senior survey technician with more than 25 years of experience in the surveying profession and a graduate from the Surveying program at New Hampshire Technical College at Berlin. Brad’s experience in surveying includes boundary surveys, topographic surveys and construction layout; he is also a Certified Drone Pilot. Brad has played a key role in providing surveying services on many large scale projects including Jay Peak Resort, layout at the new Grand Isle draw bridge and the I-89 bridge over the Lamoille River.

Daniel Boone Meeden
SURVEY PROJECT MANAGER
Boone has been working in the surveying and engineering fields for more than eight years with various firms in Vermont and New Hampshire. Boone has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science from the University of New Hampshire. Since entering the workforce, he has earned his Class A Designer's License and has become a Certified Drone Pilot. He has passed all his exams to become a Licensed Land Surveyor. He is working towards completing all necessary document submissions to the state to receive his license.

Gayle Burchard
LICENSED LAND SURVEYOR
Gayle is licensed in Vermont and New Hampshire. She has served as president of the Vermont Society of Land Surveyors and the New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association. Gayle is currently a director for the National Society of Professional Surveyors. Gayle holds a B.S. from the University of Wyoming and studied wetland and soil sciences at the University of New Hampshire. Gayle is an avid outdoorswoman who is passionate about animals, including her beloved golden retrievers. Gayle’s father was a well-respected professional surveyor, and Gayle carries on this strong family tradition.
